Helping the Community

Outside of her clinical work, Julie-Anne has been a dedicated community volunteer for over 30 years, supporting local sporting clubs, community groups, and government agencies. She was awarded the National Emergency Medal for her service during the 2019–2020 Black Summer Bushfires and completed a Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management) in 2021.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Julie-Anne coordinated practical support for those in her local area - ensuring people stayed connected and had access to essential supplies. At the time, she was volunteering with two emergency service organisations while also running a busy private practice. Her commitment was recognised with an invitation to participate in a Community Leadership Program through her local council in 2022.

While she still enjoys volunteering in the emergency services sector, Julie-Anne has recently stepped back from operational duties to focus more on her clinical work and overall wellbeing.
