Telehealth Psychology
With telehealth, you can receive effective psychological treatment from anywhere in Australia! You can use your phone, tablet, laptop, or computer to connect with a clinical psychologist from the comfort of your home, or any other private space. Whether you’re travelling, in your pyjamas, juggling kids at home, recovering from an injury, taking your lunch break, or finding it hard to get off the couch - we’re here to make accessing support simple and flexible, wherever you are.
Our online group sessions are optional but offer an affordable way to continue therapy, practise the skills you've already learned, and remain supported throughout the year as you work towards your goals. We offer a range of group therapy options - some focus more on connection and sharing, while others allow you to work privately on your own concerns without needing to share with the group. We also offer groups just for young people.
Psychological Therapy Snapshot
Julie-Anne Peake is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who provides therapy to adolescents and adults. She uses evidence-based treatments to support people with a wide range of concerns - from everyday life challenges, to more complex mental health conditions. A full list of the issues Julie-Anne treats is available on our FAQ page.
You don’t need a referral to see a clinical psychologist. You’re welcome to attend as a private client at any time. Cost for a 60-minute individual session is $190 (concession rate) or $250 (full rate). However, many people like to get some money back through Medicare or their private health insurance.
If your GP provides a referral letter and a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), you can receive a Medicare rebate on each of your 10 sessions in a calendar year:
- $145.25 on 10 individual sessions, AND
- $50.25 on 10 group sessions.
If you’ve used all your MHCP sessions, or don’t have one, check with your private health insurer to see if they cover psychology services. You can also continue as a privately paying client after using your MHCP sessions or reaching the limit on your insurance.
We do accept DVA, Workcover & TAC referrals but will require a referral letter from your GP stating that your condition is directly related to either your military service, a workplace issue, or a motor vehcile accident. Will also request an approval letter from your agency, stating that you have approval for psychological treatment. We can then bill the agency directly for the cost of your treatment.
Please note: Medicare and third-party funders do not cover missed appointments or late cancellations. We have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy to allow enough time to offer your appointment to someone else in need. To avoid cancellation fees, please reply 'No' within 24 hours of receiving our SMS that is sent out 3 days before your appointment.
